I realized after this layout was made, that this is the first project I've made where our entire family was on a single page. My family was the main subject of this layout. That's incredible- and makes me slightly sad. I need to make more layouts of us as a family!
Before the last major snowfall we had, Kyle and I got out and cleaned the driveway right down to the pavement. We'd kept up with the shovelling, for the most part, over the winter, but it still got packed from parking and driving on it before getting around to shovelling. Since it was beginning to warm up, and what was left on the driveway was beginning to turn to ice, we figured we may as well get it totally cleaned up, so the kids wouldn't fall. Or us. While we shovelled, the kids played in the snow in the front yard. They had an absolute riot. And, Kyle and I enjoyed each other's company--and the kids', too.
Supplies:
Stampin' Up: patterned paper
Recollections: all the card stock (Teal- Cool Water collection; green- Spice Market collection; yellow- unknown)
K&Co: sticker embellishments
Sandy Lion: 'love' embellishment
Adhesive: herma vario, 3D Dots
So, since I had another half of the kraft card stock left, I made another card, which is the birthday card you see above. Its for a friends' little one that celebrated a birthday recently. The bottom one, was actually a blank one I found stashed with the other cards I've got in my arsenal. I've been meaning to make it into a finished card for months, but didn't actually tackle it until yesterday. Better late than never, I suppose!
You'll probably be seeing some more cards trickling through again in the near future. My ink is running low again, and I'm not sure how long its going to last. So, if you suddenly see a lot of cards, you'll know the reason why!
Both of these cards were made using left over patterned paper from Carta Bella's True Friends collection. The rest of the papers on each card are scraps. The sentiments and embellishments are also from the same collection.
Also, just a note to remember, Win it Wednesday is up again tomorrow. Keep an eye peeled for our question of the day and the consequential prize!
