Because the entire point of this layout is documenting how stunning the girls' eyes are, I figured I'd use blue to help accentuate the beauty of their eyes. I used my Dylusions ink spray in Calypso Teal, Perfect Pearls mist in pewter and Perfect Pearls mist in perfect pearl in the background. I did pull out the heat gun to help speed up the drying process, but mostly just let it lie and air dry since there were other things I needed to get done after our painting session. (IE. Supper!!)
Now that the kids are in bed, I am able to sit and play for a little bit. I pulled out this pretty blue card stock (Recollections, Cool Water) and used my doily scallop border punch for the bottom portion of the card stock, then used border stickers from EP's Here and Now collection to spiff it up a bit. What was left of the border stickers, I adhered to the top of the page, so nothing got left behind.
Next, I took a journalling tag (also EP's Here and Now), and layered the snapshots sticker and arrow with heart overtop of it, along with alphas from Jillibean Soup (Chilled Cucumber) and Echo Park. I wanted to keep this project simple, so that my main subjects- being my girls- would shine.
