I used the My Creative Sketches sketch for this layout. I sprayed the doily with Dyslusions Bubblegum Pink ink spray, using the white card stock in the background to catch the over spray. The red card stock is supposed to be orange here; I sprayed it with the same spray ink, as well as Perfect Pearls Pearl mist. The patterned paper in the background, as well as the card stock used for the butterflies, are all scraps. Lastly, I used a mixture of alphas and embellishments from Jillibean Soups Country Pumpkin and Chilled Cucumber collections. I matted the title with a bit of Washi to anchor it.
When Maren is in concentration mode, she will often stick her tongue out. It doesn't matter what activity is involved- it just finds its way out of her mouth whenever she's engrossed with something. I love it! And, I don't think she inherited it from me...
With this layout, I was inspired by LCOM's card sketch #25. I attempted making a card, which you'll see below, but I'm not overly happy with it. This, however, is {to me} a masterpiece. I'm in love with it. Here, the girls are having a conversation with their auntie, via Face time. Before this picture was snapped, with the both of them talking with her, they were both in their room, showing her their toys and beds and whatever they thought of to show her. I'm fairly positive it made them feel really grown up and important, and I love that they get to spend some time with her like this! We're making an effort to make it happen more often.
I just can't get enough of this stuff (the spray ink)! Seriously, its the most fun to play with! The only thing I would suggest, is making sure your work surface is well protected, unless you don't care if your work space gets stained. I'm not too overly worried about mine staining, though I do make an effort to clean it up before its too late. I'm finding the Bubblegum pink spray ink is persistent- it stains the most easily. The blue, surprisingly, is the easiest to clean up- no stain marks yet! Except for my fingers. They're another story!
I hope everyone enjoys the rest of their weekend! Thanks for dropping by!
