I'm oddly excited to share this event that Michaels (the craft store) has challenged us with. April is Earth Month, and in celebration of that, Michaels wants to challenge us to make something new out of something old. What a fabulous challenge! I've only just come across this, so haven't thought much about what it is that I would up cycle, but I think its an awesome idea. Who's in? Find the details over at FaveCrafts.
And, speaking of upcycling items, check out this neat post over at Jillibean Soup! What fun!!
Paper Studio 13 has a card challenge in honor of Mothers' Day, which obviously is coming up fairly quickly, too. Its pretty darn cute, and is something I am in need of rather quickly, since I realized our wedding anniversary is tomorrow. Eeeekkkkk! Where has time gone?! My priority tonight or tomorrow is getting an anniversary card made for Kyle before its too late! I think I'll cook us a special supper for tomorrow night, too. Any suggestions??
There's some really neat goodies from Studio Calico up today over at the Paper Crafts blog, as well as a fabulous sketch and svg file that Laina Lamb created. I've already pinned the sketch to my Pinterest so I don't forget about it; you should have a look and see if its something that inspires you, as well!
Also, Windy Robinson, one of the Paper Crafts Go-To Gals, shares a beautiful card she made using tissue paper to create beautiful hand-made flowers. She also includes a link to her blog for the tutorial, if you want to create these yourself. Its something else I've got to pin and remember, so that I can try them out! Here's the link directly to her blog, for your convenience.
Echo Park has another OBW (one buck wednesday) happening today (as they do every Wednesday), and today's digi kits are absolutely adorable! If I was into digi scrapbooking, I'd be all over these! I'd love to have it in paper! Check them out!! One is perfect for spring and Easter themed projects, and the other is perfect for love or valentines.
Ready for another giveaway?! This time its from Ruby Rock it, and you'll find it over at Creating Keepsakes blog. I'm entering, you should, too!
And, last but not least, Bella Blvd. and Petaloo are teaming up for a match made in heaven! Head over to Tiffany's blog for some delicious eye candy!! This time, instead of sewing with Bella Blvd. fabric, she played with Bella Blvd paper- and her projects are divine!!
