When I came across THIS picture frame/canvas, I considered keeping it a secret, too, but then thought it would be fun to challenge you to create something different using the same design; so, I settled on creating a card with it. I've begun working on my version of this already, but you won't see it until tomorrow. The only hint I'll give you is it isn't hearts! Ha!
I'm certain there was more that I wanted to share with you- hint at, I mean, but at the moment, its slipped my mind. I'll eventually think of it again. I hope!
I've had Christmas on the brain lately, as you can see by the cards I've been creating lately; and now, its spreading into my layouts! Originally, I was going to stamp a Christmas tree on this layout, but when I remembered that I also had wood veneers, I decided to use that, instead. I painted it, first, with antique white acrylic paint, then gave it a coat of Sour Apple Pearl Mist, for some glitter, and a hint of green. I'm still debating whether I'm going to add rhinestones to it to act as ornaments. I don't have any red ones, though. Think they'll take ink spray??
Which, brings me to another item that I wanted to discuss with you. After some discussion with my bestie and husband this weekend, I've concluded that my future clients will have the option to sign a waver, allowing me to use their purchase- or pictures of it- to be displayed at Trade Shows, Farmers Markets, and for advertising purposes. Every one of my clients has the right to decline this option, though I do hope that some of them agree to let me show off my work!
I am taking bookings for the latter part of August (the last two weeks), and for the last portion of September. We have plans to be away for the first few weeks in August, and then for a week the first week of September; after that, things will slow down, and I should have more time to devote to getting orders fulfilled. Please spread the word around that I have spots available, if anyone is interested in getting a head start on their Christmas shopping, or just wants to get an album made for a loved one, OR wants one for themselves, but they don't have the time to get it done. I'll be more than happy to help anyone and everyone out! Help me get as much exposure as humanly possible. I would be forever grateful to you!!
I also posted a question to my group page, asking you, my lovely fans, what you think of my website. Is it easy to navigate around, is it clear and concise, is there anything you like/don't like about it? Has anyone browsed through my website, or just visited my blog? I'm asking, because if anything needs to be improved, I'd love to know, so that it can be corrected!
*Sigh* I've had so much on my mind, I'm not even sure I've shared everything I wanted to! I'll draft up a waver, and have it added to my website by the time the week is out. I also need to devote some time to updating my gallery (where my stock is displayed for shopping); I'll have that hopefully done sometime in the near future, too!
Thanks for hanging in there with me tonight. I hope I didn't bore you with too much drab and mundane information! I'll be back again tomorrow night to share more with you! Take care, and tootles!
