As I mentioned in yesterday's post, I pained the wood veneer with teal paint (DecoArt Dark Turquoise), then stamped overtop of it with Whisper White ink, using one of the stamps from SU's Serene Snowflakes collection. I added a label from Jillibean Soup (Winter Tortellini collection), along with some pop dots to keep the end hanging off the veneer the same height as its counterpart.
Lastly, for something different, I adhered ribbon with glue dots, then went back over them with the stapler (your regular old office type), for a little bit of a bite. It also ensures they don't come off! Ha!
You may have noticed on my group page, a post about @Crafting Canucks. There is a tagging party going on over at her facebook group page, which you'll find HERE; the first fifteen home businesses and mompreneurs that comment on this post on her page will guarantee a visit from her, as well as some promoting of your business on her page. All that's required is sharing her post on your group page, letting her know you did so, and sharing a picture of hers on your page. She'll return the favor, picking a favorite from your gallery. SOunds fun, right?! I thought so!
There's also another post on my group page- a beautiful sketch that Amy Prior has posted to her facebook and blog. You can find this post HERE. I think the sketch is beautiful, so I think it'll be our Mojo Monday inspiration for tomorrow. I'll also choose another sketch (or technique) as part of my Pinterest Inspired post for Tuesday. I'll have that shared with you sometime tomorrow. Oooh- does anyone remember which day was deemed Pinterest Inspired day? Was it Monday or Tuesday?! I don't remember anymore!! I think its Mondays.
