I am currently working on a layout tonight, but it doesn't feel finished to me, so I'm just going to share some sneak peeks with you, instead! Here's another shot:
Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Tell me what you think I should add, based on what you see here.
It was a big day for the girls today. Potty training wise. I know it isn't crafty related, but I'm just so proud of them, I can't help but gush over the leaps and bounds they're making in this area! As some of you may know, both girls are having trouble with making #2's (I'm trying to put this as politely as possible). It isn't that their constipated (originally), its that they just refuse to get the job done. They hold it in- to the point where they get so backed up, they really can't get it out. Maren especially struggles in this area. So, we've been giving her lactulose and lax-a-day to soften things up, and while I was in the shower this morning, she finally got it done. My poor little lady must feel so relieved! And, as a reward, I promised her that I would make us double chocolate chip cookies. I found a recipe at allrecipes.com, and tomorrow sometime we'll get to making them up.
Addison blew us away this evening. Totally blew us away! She leaked through her pull ups just before supper time, so I took her out of them and put her back into panties. After supper was done, and O and I were doing up the dishes (in between trying to shoo Maren out of the kitchen), Addison quietly walked into the kitchen and told O and I that she'd peed. I went to check, and sure enough she had! Without any prompts from me or O. All on her own. She had an accident this morning, and she nearly panicked. But, I made no big deal of it (because it really wasn't), and after we finished running some errands and got our nap out of the way, she peed all on her own. I couldn't be any more proud! Maybe the little pep talk I had with her the other day kind of made an impression? Maybe her little accident made an impression? Maybe both- along with seeing her sister go on the potty all the time now- has made an impression.
All I told her in our little pep talk, was that I didn't want her to miss out on going to school this fall. Maren is going such a fabulous job, and now it is Addison's turn to work at it, too. So, good for little Miss Addison! As her reward (and Marens because she's doing so great at potty training), they both got some rockets candy as a treat.
Can you see me beaming from over here?!
Enjoy your Fathers' Day weekend everyone. I would love to hear how your weekends went when we return to our normal routines again! Take care, and thanks for dropping in!
