Ours was a whirlwind, once again. We got a lot of things done, got a lot of big things bought, then celebrated 94 years with my Oma, the girls' great Oma. One of the things I had to get done, was take another picture of the girls with their great Oma. I don't know how many more times we'll be able to do it. The last one we had done as a group, was two years ago, when they were still babies.
After great Oma's birthday party, we drove out to the West End of the city to pick up the girls' new beds. We haven't gotten them both set up yet, only one, but they LOVE it. And, they're sleeping better. At least, it seems like it. Addison napped nearly 3 hours this afternoon, though that could be a growth spurt, too. She's still awake now. I can hear her kicking or making sounds in bed. But, I'm glad they love it. Their beds look so great with the headboards on them! (Those aren't actually attached yet, either. When everything is finally set up, I'll have before and after pictures for you).
Actually, I think I have, but I can't remember where I found it, and obviously haven't been able to find the link for it. But, what I think the technique is, is to accordion fold your paper, and then staple it in the middle. Then fan your ends out and attach them. I do believe I saw it at either PaperCrafts or Creating Keepsakes. I am not 100% sure. If anyone comes across it, or knows of what I'm talking about, link it up to this post, please!
The girls had a pinata at their birthday party this year. It was pretty funny, because they had this incredulous look on their faces when we told them they were allowed to hit it. They looked at us like they didn't believe us. LOL. So, when they did hit them, it was only very softly. They were still scared they were going to get in trouble for it. So sweet.
The "A" was one that I had cut out for the layouts I created of each of the girls individually; it was too big, so I didn't use it. But, it works well on this layout!
One last little neato share: see the smash package there in the picture- next to the bakers twine and the journalling pens? Its a stamp to use just with your date stamp! I never knew they existed! Kyle bought a date stamp for me from Walmart, but neither of us realized that mini ink pads came along with them! Kyle's the one that found it, too (at Michaels).
So, I'm not sure if I missed anything, am forgetting anything, or made anything unclear. If I have, please let me know. This blog post was all over the place tonight, and I'm sorry for that. Things should be back to normal again tomorrow! If you read to the end of this post- congratulations! You deserve a prize for that! If you didn't, I don't blame you. LOL
Take care, goodnight, and see everyone (hopefully) again tomorrow!
