I had that happen tonight. While I was creating today's Pinterest Inspired layout. I had fussy cut a snowflake out of card stock, after stamping it, then used my Sour Apple pearl mist to make it prettier. You'll see it when I post my layout tonight. I'm just waiting on mist on some other elements to dry, then I'll have it uploaded. (I'm multi-tasking here. Bravo, me!!)
I used a scrap piece of the card stock to catch the spray, and while I was waiting for it to dry, I realized that the shape underneath would make a really cool background (or some other sort of shape) on a future card or layout. Hmmm...the wheels are a-turning!
The arrows were an afterthought, and I love that they help draw the eye from the pictures to my title. I've had the stamp (which makes up my title) in my stash for quite some time, and it was the first thing I thought of when I sat down to create my layout. The arrows were what was left over of the banners in the top right. Thrifty, huh?!
Lastly, I stamped the snowflake, fussy cut it, then sprayed it with Sour Apple pearl mist, and threw a pop dot underneath it for some added dimension. The snowflake stamps I used are SU, and the inks I used are (SU, Old Olive, and Tsukineko Memento in Grey Flannel). The half circle you see sticking out from the side of my title mat is to indicate there's hidden journalling!
Have a great evening, everyone, and see you again tomorrow!
