I printed these pictures out a couple of days ago, but they sat on my work table until I had the time to come and scrap again. This is the girls' first {ice} fishing trip with their grandparents. They had an absolute riot. There were other kids fishing that day, too, so in between some serious fishing, they were running around, burning off some hyper and worked up energy. I'm glad they had so much fun. Poor Addison tries to keep up with her sister, but she's not as agile as Maren is. She's also not as energetic, so she starts huffing a lot sooner than she does, too. I feel sorry for my girl; its starting to become obvious that there's something out of place in either her pelvis or hip. She's been slower and not as agile since they were born. I hope its something a chiropractor can easily adjust and fix for her.
I chose to use some K&Co patterned paper for this layout. Once again, I was in the market for something nautical- but girly at the same time. It occurred me to after I scanned this layout that maybe the Well Travelled collection would have worked well, but then I figured it wouldn't have the same young, girly punch as this one does. I love the bright, happy colors, and the whales in it are uber adorable!
The chipboard embellishments are K&Co too. I used some Sour Apple Green Pearl Mist to spruce up the blue card stocks, and pulled out a journalling card (Recollections) to make up this layout. To add a little extra bling, I used some pearl rhinestones.
So, what was your first job? Did you enjoy it? Would you scrapbook it? Why or why not? What was your most favorite job? Mine was working as an assistant dean of a high school girls dormitory. I had worked as an RA (resident assistant) while I was in college, and really enjoyed it, and had mentioned to the Dean (fancy term for a dorm mom--who is also a very dear friend), that one day I would LOVE to work by her side. Well, that day came just in the knick of time. I was contemplating whether I wanted to keep working at my current job (which was at CIBC at the time). Moving back to Three Hills was exciting to me. Not only would I have a pay raise, but I would have my dream job! Sadly, it only lasted for 6 months before major changes came to the school, and I lost my position. But, it was the best 6 months of my life. (Until I went to Unit Clerk school). But, that's a whole other stor
