I've got some housekeeping to take care of before I share the projects I made both yesterday and today. First of all, if you've won a prize in the last week, and you're wondering if and when you're ever going to get it- YES, you are! Truthfully, it did slip my mind for a few days there, but now that its occurred to me again, I'll wait until all the celebration challenge prizes are won, and I'll mail everything at once.
This brings me to another housekeeping item- a happy item, I might add! Two things- first of all, the lovely Rachael Longley is the winner of the 1000 fan giveaway that Snappy Bowtique held. She won a custom made mini album! Rachael, if you haven't seen the post on the Snappy Bowtique's FB page, or the post I made in relation to it on my own FB page, and you're reading it here, PLEASE PM me! That would be wonderful!
Next, I've won a prize, too! I'm silly excited. I won the June prize over at Lets Capture Our Memories for playing along with their challenges last month. I'm not totally sure what the prize is yet. The main point is I won!! Eek!
Its Win it Wednesday today, and that means there's a random question posted to my Facebook page. Head over there, track it down, and answer by way of the comments on that post for your entry to count. The contest closes tonight at midnight, and I'll draw the winner randomly early tomorrow morning. I'd hate for you to miss out! Also, tomorrow will (sadly) be our last Celebration Challenge day for reaching 100 likes. I truly appreciate every single one of you; your support means the world to me! This last month has been incredible! Lets see what July brings!
However, I do love the spraying/misting in the background. I always love a little mist. I also love how the black and white pics jump off the page, paired with such bright, happy colors. It actually makes me feel happy, so I guess that's a step in the right direction! This is a second layout I made using the color challenge yesterday- blue and beige or cream. Just lovely together!
I used a mixture of papers on this layout- some Recollections, some Carta Bella, some unknown, but I think they all work beautifully together! I picked up the hues in the girls' clothes- pink, purple and blue, and ran with it. The yellow was accidentally drawn into the layout with the one lone yellow 'l' in the word tumble. So, I created journalling strips using yellow card stock. Lastly, I used alphas and sticker embellishments from Echo Parks' I {heart} Summer. (I'm going to have to double check the collection name; I think I have it wrong). To see CS July Sketchy Challenge, and try it out for yourself, go HERE.
Thanks for dropping by! See you again tomorrow!
