I was severely stumped on this layout. The blue card stock in the background, was used some time ago- I cut out a heart with my cricut, and obviously didn't need (or want to use) the rest of the card stock. I really liked the idea of using it on this layout, but it just wasn't coming together for me.
The girls would often pull on their winter boots (still do!!) and walk around the house in them. They must love them, because they're always in them. If they're not in their shoes, they're wearing either mine or Kyle's!
Supplies:
Carta Bella: sticker border, alphas and embellishments (sticker border and embells are from the Well Travelled collection; the alphas are from the Paris Girl collection)
Recollections: Orange and grey card stock (Spice Market and Preppy Beach collections)
Adhesives: herma vario
Misc: yellow and blue card stocks; yellow patterned paper (K&CO)
Since I didn't have a specific picture to go along with this layout, I went back through my photo library, and picked one that jumped out at me. I love the way the Jillibean floral patterned paper works with this layout- the tones all melt together beautifully! Like it was meant to be- a match made in scrappy heaven LOL! The green strip of patterned paper is actually the reverse side of the floral paper. It acts as a nice backdrop for the second part of my title work, which also functions as my journalling.
Supplies:
Jillibean Soup: patterned paper (from the Country Pumpkin collection), journalling card, some of the alphas and embellishments (all from the Country Pumpkin collection)
Carta Bella: the rest of the alphas (from the Paris Girl and Well Travelled collections)
Recollections: Kraft card stock
Adhesives: herma vario
This layout was a lot of fun to create, and came together seamlessly. The line of paper that I used for the centre strip is called around town, and I think it works great for highlighting the coloring contest the girls entered, since it was a function that happened around town. :) They didn't win, but it was still fun for them!
Supplies:
Carta Bella: black and pink patterned paper (from the Paris Girl collection); pink and brown alphas (from the Paris Girl and Well Travelled collections); embellishments (from the Well Travelled and True Friends collections)
Jillibean Soup: green patterned paper strip (Country Pumpkin collection)
Recollections: green card stock (Spice Market collection) pink quatrefoil patterned paper (Lattice collection)
Adhesives: 3D dots, herma vario
Anyway, on this layout, I wanted to pick up the color in the shoes that I wore to the gym, which was purple and grey. The blue and green worked themselves into this layout after I used some washi tape to 'adhere' the pictures of my fitness trainer to my layout.
Supplies:
Recollections: grey, light purple and dark purple card stocks (Cool Water, Jewel, Cool Water collections, respectively), white card stock
Martha Stewart: Cherish border punch
Jillibean Soup: green banner (Country Pumpkin collection)
Adhesive: herma vario, glue dots
Misc: buttons, alphas, Washi Tape (buttons from my personal stash, alphas and Washi tape are Sandy Lion, I think)
I'll have tomorrow's Win It Wednesday up bright and early, as long as tomorrow's new NSD challenge. Enjoy your night- and the cooler weather!
