Sweet Maren asked if we could move Addison back into her room tonight, during chit chat. (Chit chat is a time that we lay together and just talk about our day. It usually happens after story time. Both girls get to talk with us for a few minutes one on one just before they go to sleep. I think we're all in agreement that its a bit of time that we LOVE!) Anyways, I didn't consent to moving Addison back into her room, but I did tell her that if the girls can be good- no fighting, listening when they're asked to, etc., then at the end of the week, they'll get to have a slumber party together. Its actually prompted me to think about implementing the 'reward' system again. Its been on my mind for a few days actually, and this might just be the push I need to actually implement it again. Hmmm...
We've also suffered a major set back in terms of potty training. Maren doesn't seem to have trouble, really, though we're not waking up dry in the morning anymore- and as long as she's in a pull- up, she feels no real need to use the potty. Addison, on the other hand, feels the need to hold her pee- and then hold it for as long as she possibly can, and then she tries to make it to the potty- while its running down her legs. Argh! I'm tired of wiping up pee, so we're going back to step one: sitting on the potty for hours on end, until she re-learns what the potty is all about. Its my fault, and I feel incredibly guilty for it. If we hadn't gone to the lake a few weeks back, and she hadn't been forced to hold her pee for so long (and, if we had known there were flush toilet facilities at the lake), I don't think we would be dealing with this set back right now. But, it is what it is. But, it frustrates me. I think mostly because I'm frustrated with myself for thinking that the girls would be able to deal with the lake like big girls.
Sorry for the rant, but apparently I needed to get that off my chest. It just seemed to flow right out of me- I hadn't planned on writing any of this down!
I think I'm going to attempt this sketch again; I really like the clean and simple design. We'll see how it turns out the next time!
Because this set of cards, and the next one, are so simple, I've created a new album over on my group page, that's dedicated to items that are old, or uber simple, and will be sold at discounted prices. So, you'll find this set for a whopping $2.75 per card! I'll give them to you for $5.00 for a set of three! Snatch them up!! Seriously, its a great deal.
I'm selling these ones for $3.50 each, since there's a bit more meat to it. For both cards, they'll be sold for $5.00, as well. Spread the word that there's sales a-coming, or message me if you're interested in purchasing these cards!
If you comment on tonight's blog post, your entry will count towards today's contest. Since I'm getting my blog post up so late, I'll extend the contest until 8 am tomorrow morning. I'll announce the winner in tomorrow night's blog post. The lucky winner will have a set of custom cards made for them by yours truly. So, come on, and play along! I love it when people share a bit about themselves! In a small, tiny way, I'm getting to know you, and that's a plus in my books!
Take care everyone, I think that is all for tonight. Try to stay cool, and I'll catch up with you again tomorrow!
