For the last two nights, we've been fighting with the kids to go to sleep. Its never been a problem until now. Last night, it was peeing on the potty constantly, and after discussing some options with a friend, I've moved their potty into their room. So, even though Maren's used the potty about 5 times in the last three hours, she's still in her room. I started getting her to put on and pull up her own pull ups, so I don't have to do it for her. At first, we were thinking the problem was just avoiding going to bed. I think the root of the problem is that, but now its quickly evolving into play time! until I lose my patience or they fall asleep. Yikes! Either they don't have nap during the day anymore, or they're going to need their own rooms. Part of me hopes not, but part of me is prepared to separate them if we have to. I'm hoping that cutting out naps will take care of the problem.
Its going to be personally hard on me not to have nap time. Whatever it is that's causing this chronic and recurrent fatigue and sleepiness has required me to nap when the kids do, and for the longest time, doze and nap on the couch most of the morning because I just couldn't keep my eyes open. I am working really hard to stay awake in the mornings, but I sleep hard when we all go for a nap. I hope I hear from the endocrinologist really, really soon!
I pulled some strips of patterned paper from my paper border storage, and arranged them on another scrap piece of patterned paper (True Friends, Carta Bella). The smallest strip of patterned paper, which is behind the square block, is actually the "B" side of the blue flowered patterned paper.
I began by misting the kraft card stock with Pink Gumball Pearl mist, then pulled out the heat gun to dry it faster. Next, I used some Memento ink in Teal Zeal, and stamped a chevron pattern to frame the pictures and paper. I used my cricut to cut the scallop circles from the yellow chevron patterned paper (Recollections).
For a little extra bling, I used a journalling spot (Jillibean Soup, Winter Tortellini), a Jillibean label (from the same collection, but covered up the sentiment), and some ribbon (American Crafts, Dear Lizzy). The title sticker comes from Creative Memories.
As always, thanks for dropping by. I appreciate you, and love receiving comments. I'll always return them! See you again soon!
