I mentioned a while back that I should jump onto Kijiji and start browsing for crafty items that are for sale, and today I did just that. While I was browsing, I came across the neatest post, and it inspired me to start posting my projects there again. AND, promote my business, which is this beautiful forum I've created. This person was advertising a sale in her hobby and craft store, and promoting the goods she's trying to sell at the same time. Ingenious! And, from the pictures that are posted both to Kijiji, and to her Facebook page (as well as website), it looks like there's hardly any room for walking. There's loads of stuff in there! So much so, that I want to drop in and have a peek one day! The store is called Paper Art Creations, Inc., and the store is located in Leduc. If you're living on the south side of Edmonton, Beaumont, New Sarepta, and any other communities in that general area, you should pop in sometime!
So, where can you find this fabulous store online? I'll share the links right now! The website can be found HERE; the Facebook group page can be found HERE, and if you're interested, search for Paper Arts Creations on Kijiji, by searching Edmonton buy and sell> hobbies and crafts. On a side note, I found some great deals on Kijiji- lots of old CTMH and SU stamps and inks and re-inkers for sale- most stuff is discontinued product. So, if there's something specific you're looking for, you may find it there!
I also mentioned today a unique way to create a background on your next project, using your paint or spray ink. You'll be able to find the tutorial over at Creating Keepsakes, but I wanted to share it with you because its just so darn cool! Either die cut or search your house for the size circle (or any other shape, for that matter) you want to use and trace it; if you're using spray ink, unscrew the top from the bottle, and use the top like a paint brush to outline the shape you're using. Next, let the ink drip from the top of the bottle, holding it at varying heights to get different sized drops. If you're using paint, improvise! The same effect can be achieved using a paint brush or another object.
One other neat technique to try out sometime, is using your ink pads and a pencil (the eraser part of it) to stamp dots on your page. See an example HERE and HERE. When its done, it looks like confetti! Its beautiful!
And, since I have it on my mind tonight, tomorrow is Win it Wednesday. I don't have a picture of the prize yet, but I do know that its a tub full of paper flowers. The colors are delicious! (Think green, teal, light blue, coral and beige, it looks like). YUM. I am heading into Edmonton this weekend, so if the winner resides in the city, I'll be happy to hand deliver it to you! (Same goes for local peeps, too!) If you're out of province and/or country, I'll make a layout or card (your choice, and you can choose what size they come in, too!) How does that sound?
Here's tomorrow's random question: of all the different Point to Ponders I've shared on the blog and on my Facebook page., which most stood out to you? Which are you most likely to try?
Good luck everyone, and once again, thanks for dropping in and visiting with me for a bit!
